Municipal lines in this part of DuPage and Will Counties do not follow ZIP codes or phone books. Naperville spans DuPage and Will Counties, and the 60564 ZIP sits on the Will County side, so permit and utility contacts differ from the DuPage side. Bolingbrook is mostly in Will County with part in DuPage.

Water utilities also change by address. In Lisle, the Village supplies most homes but Illinois American Water serves the Oakview neighborhood. In Bolingbrook, water service comes from Illinois American Water rather than the Village. In Darien, sanitary sewer service comes from DuPage County, the Downers Grove Sanitary District or Hinsdale depending on the address.
